He studied Audiovisual Communication at UNIACC (Santiago de Chile) and specialized in Film Direction at the International School of Film and TV in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. Since 2002, he is president of the production company Cámara Oscura, where he works as director of documentaries and advertising. Editor of SoHo Ecuador magazine from 2003 to 2017, he has made several short films and documentaries and has taught film workshops at various universities and professional centers. In February 2008, he was selected, among more than 3,000 applicants, to be part of the Berlinale Talent Campus, organized by the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2016 he earned a Master of Arts in Film Direction, Writing and Production from the University of Staffordshire, in partnership with Raindance, England.
