Daniel Varela studied Film and Video at USFQ, Screenplay at ESCAC and Screenplay, and Creative Writing at UNIR. He directed, among others, the short films: Blind Guide (2009), filmed in “Fenavid” in Bolivia and La Terraza del Hospital (2010), presenting at festivals in Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, the United States, France, Italy, and Spain.
