Ecuadorian director, scriptwriter and producer. His debut film, “La Tola Box”, premiered in the main cinemas of Ecuador and was shown at festivals such as the Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, Mostra de Sao Paulo, Filming in Latin America, EDOC. With his first fiction feature film "Samson" in distribution stage, he participated in the script writing fund of the Amiens festival, France; Produire au Sud at the 3 Continents Festival in Nantes, France; "The Andean Hero's Journey" organized by Ibermedia in La Paz, Bolivia. He was the winner of the Ibermedia development and co-production fund, and of various funds from the Ecuadorian Film Institute, ICCA. He was selected in the WIP of the Viña del Mar Festival (2018), where he won the first prize; He participated in the Film in progress of Ventana sur 2018, in the BoliviaLab and in the Málaga WIP-Lab. He is developing the fiction scripts "I don't want to name death", winner of the script writing fund of the Ecuadorian Film Institute, ICCA, and the documentary essay "La cumbia del jaguar". He studied film at the National Film School of Argentina and documentary film at the Popular University of Las Madres de Plaza de Mayo. He has studied music with a specialization in piano. In 2000 he won the international prize for poetry "Valentín Arteaga" awarded in Spain. He teaches workshops and laboratories on script writing and staging in various countries and runs the CosmonautaLab training space. He produces and hosts the radio program “Encuadre Tropical” about Latin American and Costa Rican cinema on Radio UCR in Costa Rica.
